Happy to be reporting quantitative news about my spouse: Per recent MR this week: No change in size of tumor. This recent MRI was taken -2 years and 4 months after end of 28 sessions of Proton Therapy. It is the second MRI since the treatment ended.

Qualitative outcome of Proton Therapy (1.5 cm vestibular schwannoma) No change in daily life since Proton Therapy treatment began.  No headaches. No balance issues. No facial issues. No cognitive issues. Tinnitus is only occasional, as it was prior to proton beam treatment. No energy loss or fatigue. No time lost at work. Deafness in left ear remains the same. Sensitive hearing in good ear remains the same. Often uses ear plugs to shield good ear from any loud noises that could cause damage.

My spouse is willing to talk about this positive experience, so just send us a private message if you are interested. Please be aware we  aren't looking at this forum too often because things are going so smoothly. Life is good. We are truly thankful for the good outcome from proton therapy for the acoustic neuroma.
