I had a tarsography on my left eye 11 months ago and now they want to put a gold weight as well, any thoughts is this normal?

if your eye doesn't close, absolutely go for it. I would suggest a platinum weight as it will be less visible, the chain is even better, as it is flatter.  Also, to protect your cornea, I suggest a scleral lens, which has been a life saver for me.  Dr. Kenneth Maller, Ft Lauderdale, FL,  is amazing with this lens.
Always good thoughts...

retrosigmoid 6/19/06
Gold weight 7/19/06, removed 3/07

1.6 Gm platinum weight 7/10/08
lateral canthal sling 11/14/08
Jones tube insert right inner eye 2/27/09
2.4 Gm. Platinum chain 2017
right facial paralysis

I couldn't agree more with NancyAnn!  I had my eye closed for 13 mos., but opened it to try a scleral lens.  I had a weight put in the lid also.  It was life-changing to use my eye again!  Best of luck to you!
