Re-Growth 2 Years after GK?
« on: August 01, 2017, 01:59:34 pm »
I am freaking out.  Please tell me this is not happening.  Two years and 3 months after Gamma Knife I have had a sudden increase in symptoms.  The numbness is increased, the ringing is worse and the headaches are back.  I was doing great for 8 months.  Going for my MRI tomorrow.  If the little bastard has gotten bigger again I am going to lose it.  What are the chances?

Swelling of the tumor sometimes happens following gamma knife. Swelling typically peaks at 5 months, but can be as late as 18 months. Only after 2 years can they say that treatment was successful or not. Your neurosurgeon will probably tell you the same.
