Issues still after 6 years
« on: June 01, 2018, 09:21:38 am »
6 years out after translab surgery.
total hearing loss one side
facial nerves still feel off/twitch at times
occasional headache and fullness on surgery side
lots of tinnitus
dizziness if turn quickly

Looking to see if this is normal for others after all this time.
Really gets me down.

I would say yes everything is "the new" normal.
My surgery was in 1990 and I continue to have all that you list with some variable ( my dizziness is always there if I think about it not just when I move fast, tinnitus wasn't a big issue for me until 16 years after the initial surgery).
I can understand getting down, we all do sometimes.

Loss of 7-10th nerves
mulitple "plastic" repairs to compensate for effects of 7th nerve loss
