I don't know of any sites, but alot of the community colleges offer a course.  Sometimes community schools ( volunteer taught classes) type classes will offer it too at a low cost.  You might want to check within your community too.  I hope you find something that works well for you.

Best to you

Linda , thanks for starting this thread.  I've been thinking too that I should start learning sing so I'll know it later as with age the hearing goes south anyhow, and only having one good ear. It would probably be good to know. Think me and the whole family should know it, then they won't have to hollar at me so I can hear them. If they had to make sure they were facing me to sign, maybe they would get the message they have to face me to speak to me too!!  LOL

I young lady I worked with took two years of ASL classes through her high school and was pretty good at it, I thought. She had a deaf friend and wanted to be able to talk with her.  I took a 6 week course once, but only remember a couple of signs because, like any language it takes, practice, practice and practice.  Linda you should be able to find classes in your community somewhere.  And there are books out there too.  Visit your nearest large book store.  There are also signing tapes, books etc at Learning World or whatever those places are called. You know, the stores that specialize in educational toys. Good luck!!
