Concert Madness (a post by Taylor)
« on: December 18, 2006, 04:55:19 pm »
So i went to a concert last night. 4 bands played. I fell down like 3 times but it's ok! Other people fell down too but i'm sure not as much as me. hehehe... oh well... someone was always there to help me up.
Some short girl next to me asked me to throw the hat she was wearing onto the stage... but i couldn't hear her (you all obvivously know why) so she did it.
i went through the mosh pit a couple times and that was crazy.
My back hurt probably from the mixture of being pushed around so much and standing so long.
The tingling or pins-and-needles sensation in my left side got bad in my foot, but it always does if i stand for a long period of time. i'm acually surprised it didn't get worse. it probably didn't bug me unbearably because i wasn't paying attention to it as much. I was paying attention to the sweat dripping on me... i was soooo close.
i had a great time but i was very nervous the whole day before the show.
i'm sure you guys don't understand because you're much older and i'm one of the youngest on here... but you're the closest i got!
i love you all!
Opps this is Taylor by the way! LOL
Oh yeah... i'm attending two more classes in college next semester Photography and Sociology
I passed my two classes (Psychology and Algebra) from last semester.
It's so hard to go through college when you can't write! But i'm doin it!!!!

Taylor, I just want you to know that I've been to a ton of concerts and fallen down in a mosh pit and I'm 41!!!!  Has nothing to do with being young!!!   ;)  So I do understand you.

Hope you had fun playing normal!!!!  It feels good to do that, doesn't it???

I'm thinking mosh pita and me would equal not falling down but throwing up  LOL
Sounds like a grand time.  Did you wear ear plugs?  I have trouble with loud music just wondered if did too?

Congrats on passing your classes.  It took my brother 5 times to get through alegbra and he didn't have an AN surgery for an excuse!

Hi

We are not "rest-home" material yet.  We aren't different from you........just in age.  I would say 75 percent or more on this forum have been around the block (so to speak) a few times and probably wouldn't think you would understand, either.  (this is more of a "hip-group" than you realize)  Really, there is no difference except we may have expanded our vocabulary.  (hopefully; lol)  Someday, you will remember this post and say, "Oh yeah, I get it now!"  We have had more experience doing just what you are doing, no difference.  I have been on this forum a couple of months and picked-up on it right away.

OK all you soccer moms, what do you think of that?  LOL

You haven't seen total insanity till you been to a Jimmy Buffett concert! I'm glad you got to go out and have a bunch of fun. It's important to try to do some "normal" stuff right now. Last year I went to NC's busiest Mall the day after Thanksgiving. It was nuts and my head felt like it was going to explode, but I had a blast spending a bunch of Dr Loves fun tickets!

Taylor - I attend alot of rock concerts, but always avoid the "pit", as it scares the heck out of me and I'm just too darn old to be tossed around like that (wouldn't want to break a hip) LOL

After all that you have been through, I am so happy to see that you are back enjoying all the fun stuff. Congrats on your classes...we are all so proud of you!!!
