Hello all….Adrian here.  Well…..its the 9th hour…..the 11th hour will be tomorrow night…lol  :)  Well…..we have to be in Tampa tomorrow at 11am for pre-ops.  Then as you all know, surgery is on Thursday the 6th.

I cannot begin to say Thank you to everyone.  Those words are just not enough.  You ALL have been so supportive and an amazing source for comfort and education.  A huge lesson that I learned from this is you have a choice of surgeons.  For all the newbies…..DO YOUR HOMEWORK!  There is not better feeling than trusting your surgeons.  I am certain that money cannot buy better surgeons than the ones I have.  Last Wednesday Dr. Schwartz from House Ear Clinic called me to check on me.  I was ashamed that I haven’t contacted them through all of the hoopla lately.  I apologized to him and told him that because of insurance and logistics I decided to have my op in Tampa.  He quickly asked me if it will be Dr. van Loveren, to which I replied yes.  He told me that I will be fine.  He asked me who the head and neck Dr. is and I said Dr. Bartels.  He told me that I was in great hands and that I had a great team.  There are only a few docs in Florida that he would recommend.  That happened on Wednesday evening which was the icing on the cake when I found out my insurance approved my surgery.  I only have great things to say about HEC, they were very attentive to me without the sales pitch.  Dr. Luxford even called my Sam on a Saturday morning at 9am (6am California time) and called back at noon when I told him that she decided to sleep in.  Very honorable!

There have been so many posts and personal messages that I have not replied to.  I want EVERYONE to know how much I appreciate them.  I have had too much going on and am very ashamed that I haven’t replied.  My sincere apologies.

This forum is amazing.  You ALL have restored my faith in people; faith I lost a long time ago.  I truly am speechless.

I look forward to starting a new post…..a “postieâ€? post….HA…say that 10 times fast.  I truly cannot wait to be on the other side of this and want to start helping newbies.

Take care all, and I will post next as a postie.  Thank you ALL once again.
