« on: November 06, 2007, 11:27:32 am »
I noticed an article online today that Rosanne Cash is to undergo surgery for a benign brain condition, but it didn't state what.  Does anyone out there know?  Hope it's not an AN.

You know, I just read on msn.com that she needs brain surgery for a rare, but benign condition.  If didn't specific what the condition was, but I automatically thought "AN".  I was going to start a post, but found this one.

Hope everything works out for her; she's been through so much in the past few years.

Retrosig 5/31/07 Drs. Battista & Kazan (Hinsdale, Illinois)
Left AN 3.0 cm (1.5 cm @ diagnosis 6 wks prior) SSD. BAHA implant 3/4/08 (Dr. Battista) Divino 6/4/08  BP100 4/2010 BAHA 5 8/2015

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways

It's a chiari I malformation.

Please tell me no.....  I thought AN first, as well... but hoping, truly hoping, it's not Chiari 1.

oy.

Saying prayers, regardless for a speedy recovery for her.

I also saw articles in May that Dusty Hill of ZZ Top had AN.  They canceled part of their tour so he could be treated.

According to her manager, Rosanne has been diagnosed with a chiari I malformation.  She is having elective surgery at Presbyterian Hospital in New York on an undisclosed date.  I assume it will be very soon.

I'm sure millions will be joining me in prayer for Rosanne Cash to have a successful surgery and complete recovery.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

thanks Jim... she must have opted for the decompression surgery. I send her extreme well wishes as one CM1 sista' to another.  Speedy recovery and wellness to her.
