Cheryl -

I am amazed that you are back to driving already!  It sounds like your recovery is going very well.

Good for you,

I am 30 miles frrom Des Moines and not to where I feel I am safe to drive there though.   A friend is taking me tomorrow as there is a special african violet sale that I go to every year and she is going to drive.       She collects them too.                So that may tire me out but at least something to look forward to.

Cheryl -

in my experience, african violets are pretty hard to raise.  I love them, but consistently kill them - inadvertently of course!

Then again, I kill just about any type of vegetation - except for the silk or plastic variety - inadvertently.  My ex used to say I had a "black thumb" LOL

Maybe that's why my shopping trips generally lean towards shoes  ;D

Enjoy your annual excursion!

Jan, we have so much in common - I've been told I have a black thumb too!  My husband brought me back a cactus from AZ before we were married - and I killed it.  He swears you can't kill a cactus, but I beg to differ.  I think mine had jet lag or something.  It couldn't have been all my fault!

Lori -

I've killed many a cactus in my day  ;D

We do have a lot in common - I'd say we were twins separated at birth, but I know you are younger than I am.

Debbi - just keep in mind, Cheryl is not driving in NJ!  Driving in NJ is a true test of your driving ability even without having just had brain surgery!  And I'm allowed to say that, because that's where I learned how to drive!   ;D

Familiar with the intersections by Willowbrook Mall?  Stay away from there!   :D

No way would I drive in a big city right now.  A rural area is much better.       I had a friend take me to Des Moines Fri.      Sat husband and I went to a wedding.    Sun went and visited our grandkids.     Did some grocery shopping too.     Guess who was very tired by Sun eve.                 Doing better today and doing some housework.
I do feel very fortunate since I guess I was having brain swelling for 3 days while in ICU and they didn't know why.       Never even mentioned it to me.   My daughter did later but then once it improved I went to the standard usual recovery and improved just fine.
