I loved the poem your friend wrote.  Very creative and funny.  I know you don't know me as I am fairly new to this site.  Good luck with your surgery.  I will check in and see how you are doing.

Actually, it seems that they use the belly fat to fill the void left behind.

Ah yes, the every popular fat graft - one of the reasons some of us here refer to ourselves as "fat-heads"  ;D

It sounds like Debbi's making great progress!  Yea!!!

You go Debbi!  You're the girl  ;D  I am so glad you are making such great progress!!  I know in the future I will face this and it is so comforting to hear of progress like yours!
We can see you have wonderful support too!!  You really are good at posting Willie!!  And I can tell there is true love there, I mean to share a bed with you in the midst of your special cascading waterfall  ;)  Oh Willie, be sure to get us a good pic of the hat to share before the doc takes it off.  I'm so sorry Debbie that you won't get to have the fishnet scale look though but I bet you really look good in your hat!! :D
When you get home enjoy your cereal for lunch and your towels that may not be folded the best.  Those are small things to put up with.   After all the best news is that you are doing so well!!!!  Keep up with the good news, we love to hear it!

Steve,

How did you ever get by before this forum?  Apparently, you were floating carelessly through life not knowing all these important things.  I'm glad we could help you on your path to enlightenment.

Annmarie, I would gladly fold the laundry if my husband would make me a real pizza!  We're not up to that lesson yet - he just learned how to make a hard-boiled egg last week.  The pre-requisite for that, of course, was how to boil water.  He's coming along...

I stopped here today hoping to get a glimpse of Debbi's surgery hat before it was removed.  Willie, any chance you're going to post one?

Remind her it's all purely in the interest of medical science - plus we all love to smile  ;D

Lori -

hate to tell you, but I think the "hands too big for folding laundry" that Anne Marie cited is just an excuse  ;)  Keep working with the hubby, as frustrating as that may be.  I think the hard-boiled egg is progress though.  When you're done training him, I have two 12 year olds who are totally helpless - maybe you could stop by sometime  :)

Steve -

another important tip.  You can eat ice cream for breakfast - but only if it's vanilla because then it can technically be considered just frozen milk.  My own mother taught this one to my children many years ago.  My own mother, can you believe it  ???  She never let me or my siblings eat ice cream for breakfast when we were kids  :o

But what about strawberry ice cream?  Then you get a serving af fruit in there too.  And chocolate is rich in... something... antioxidants... magnesium...whatever...it must be good for you.

Willie, I'm with Jan on the hat pictures.... You know all the 'fancy" ladies were hats for the Kentucky Derby!  She just put hers on a few days early I guess!

Lori, Jan and Steve,

You three are the three musketeers ;D  I know my hubby is using his hands as an excuse, but he does make a mean pizza.

Now my mother-in-law makes a white pizza with onions, rosemary and garlic...........it is heavenly.  The crust is so light and airy.  She always makes for special occasions.  My non-Italian friends go nuts over it.  It's more like a focaccia bread.  Yummy, could use a piece right now ;D

Well Debbi, I hope all this talk about food doesn't upset your tummy!   Can't wait to see you post.  I think its going to be sooner than later ::)

Willie here...

Debbi and I are at out home relaxing.  I've just read all your posts to her.  It would appear I now take dictation as she's asked me to let you all know she'll be posting Sunday and I will no doubt be folding laundry.  That's right, we broke her out of the big house early this morning.  The nurse said "you could go."  I'm hoping she didn't me you can go to the bathroom as Debbi saw this as an opportunity to run for the exit door.

I will officially retire at the conclusion of this post and do so with the knowledge that Debbi's road to recovery will be smoother due to all you wonderful people.  Thank you for helping us through this and hopefully we can pay it forward some day.

Debbi will no doubt be back online tomorrow with pictures to follow soon.

Thank you all, Willie.

Anne Marie -

I've never been called a musketeer before - not that it's a bad thing  ;)  The white pizza sounds heavenly - you'll have to give us the recipe.  Or if your mother-in-law would agree to ship one to me that would work even better - I hate to cook!

I can't believe that Debbi is home already!  That just seems so fast - yes, I know, easy for me to say, it wasn't my AN  :)

I'm anxiously awaiting the lovely Kentucky Derby hat pictures.  Guess I'll have to tune in again tomorrow.

Welcome home, postie Debbi !!!
