how do i post a photo of me?

I was thinking to post a "before' picture of myself now that i have my date booked.
But when i look at the way to load a picture, it seems that i need to have a picture on a web page somewhere. Is there no way to just load a JPG file?

Hi Trish,

correct... we cannot upload from our harddrives. I know many have had issues using pics posted on Facebook.... suggestion would be for Kodak Photogallery or frappr. Once posted there, then copy/paste the full URL for the pic location on the sites.  Paste into your Profile forum info page... and don't forget to scroll to bottom to select "save changes".

Would be great to "see" you!

the best "frappr" page to use is: http://www.frappr.com/acousticneuroma we have several images there... if its a oneshot deal .. just use the frappr...
if you have many pictures.. I would set up your own http://photobucket.com account!

Syl,

Let me/us know the steps you are taking so we can help figure out why it isn't (as of now) working.  Where is your pic uploaded (ie: frappr, Photobucket, MySpace, etc)?  The key is to use a site that we know works ok (we have heard issues of those using MySpace, but frappr and Photobucket seems to work fine).  Make sure, once uploaded, you right click on the picture, then scroll down to "Properties". Once the Property window opens, highlight the complete "URL" of the picture (ie: www.photobucket.com/xxxxxxxxxxx).... then "copy".  THen, come to the Profile page here, .... "Paste" the URL link into the "I've got a picture...."... and most important (after you Paste), scroll down the page to "save changes".

Thanks, Phyl,

It was copying the wrong info. The tip about right clicking on the photo in frappr.com, going to properties and and copying the url is what did it.
Now Syl has a face.

It appears that way. But there wasn't anything there when I tried the 1st 2 times. After the successful 3rd time, the photo linked up everywhere.

Once you link a photo to your profile, it shows up in each and every post you have written - even the ones that you wrote before you linked the photo.
