I love my BAHA .. If I had to complain about something .. it squeals to much . every time it touches a head rest on the car, pillows while watching TV, or adjusting the volume it squeals .. wish I had a remote control !! or blue tooth .. that would be neat ....
but other wise I would recommend it to anyone who has SSD because of an AN ...

If I may ask,  what model of baha is that?

Also,  could you post a picture without the processor on?   I'm curious to see what the pin looks like.

Thanks.

I got my Baha Divino last Thursday. I have shoulder length hair and no one knows I'm wearing it! I had suboccipital surgery and that scar is also covered over. The Baha snaps in like a lego and I don't even know it's on. The changes to my hearing are slight and yet when I think about it I'm just more like I used to be.

Hi. Thanks for showing us. What about swimming or shoverring? It is permeable or what about cutting hair, if the scissors touches it, does it squeal?
You must be the bionic man to the kids of your family and friends, what a hero!

Oh No! .. you take it off when shower or swimming ! ..you can't get it wet !! but it "pops" right it and out quickly ....(Lego is a great example). and you take it out for hair cuts !!

after healing  how do you think getting struck in the head (say a boxing glove) on the implant site would effect it?

I am big in martial arts and although I have been told my the doctor that I should not have a problem I still have questions about it.

the worst I think would happen is that you loosen or nock out the abutment. It does not stick out (which would cause a doctors visit to replace).. for example I towel my head after a shower I dont catch the towel on the abutment at all ! .. I dont even known its there ... I would always use gloves ..

Thanks so much for the pictures, Do you think it improves your hearing? a little or a lot!
So you just snap off the black box when you take a shower and just shampoo right over it?

It does not improve my hearing, but I dont miss things or I can undestand what it said on my AN side ..just the other day at work I walked into a meeting a bit late ... there was only 1 seat left.. NEXT to the meeting leader with my deaf side facing him .. the BAHA picked up everything!!
at home, when I'm working around the house or fishing! .. I leave it off .. one good ear works fine.. when I'm at work .. it helps a lot !!
