Yes, it's a circle. My mom also has one but it is larger than mine. Now that she has more salt-and-pepper it is not as noticeable.

One of my gym buddies has a spot on the back of her head, like your son. I always thought mine wouldn't bother me nearly so much if it was in back where I couldn't see it.

I never knew there was a special name. That's very interesting.

In order to get rid of my grey hair I'd have to shave my head.  When I want to look young I wear tight pants and a baseball cap!!

I feel out of the loop when my fiends here start talking shoes  (I own three pair and they are plenty)...
shopping ...( I hate shopping ) ... and the dying and cutting of hair...( have yet to dye mine I get an
occasional trim ,wash it regularly and pull it back out of my face )...luckily the few gray that
come in my girls pull out  :D... my friends are sure I am missing a few genes

but I see what a visit to Ms Clairol ,a run through the mall and a new pair of shoes do for most
of them  ,my mom and my sister ... so after doctors approval go for it ...

I have not yet had surgery for my AN. Initial appointment with NS last week. He advised at 1cm., no surgery. MRI every 6 months, if no growth, more MRIs...

My commments relate only to hair dyes etc. Personally, I am allergic to hair dyes and don't dye. (Streaks only)
My hairdresser has mentioned "milk" rinses seem to work for extreme scalp and post-operative issues. Ya never know, sometimes things that come from a natural source work the best. On the other hand..she could be full of it!!!!

Hope you all have a good day!

So do those of us with brown hair need to use chocolate milk?   :D  I might be willing to try that!!

Soundy, don't feel too out of the loop - I used to be very into shoes until I moved to Virginia Beach.  Ever since then, I have a large collection of flip flops and that's about it!!  However, if I let my kids pull out my gray hairs, I wouldn't have anything left to color!!!

I'm all out of chocolate milk mix - all I have is strawberry.  I guess that would make me a redhead?

Which reminds me, time for a run to the store for my regular surgery-eve hair coloring.  I really need it done now, but I'm making myself wait until the last minute - just in case it's a while before I can do it again!

Michelle, I'd be out of the loop if I were surrounded by 5 year olds all day too!

I'm having the 7-12 nerve jump done.  Not a biggie, relatively speaking.  Of course, once one has had brain surgery, it seems like nothing is a big deal anymore!   :D

Good luck Lori--I hope the surgery does the trick for you!  (When is it?  Is it on the AN calendar?)

NOW do it now!!  Well, at the last minute.  I forgot last time and had to deal with hair for a LONG time that needed desperately to be "spruced up!" LOL!!  It is the little things that mean the most...  ::)

Cheri,

I color it the night before!  It's become like a ritual now - the surgery eve hair coloring.  I know mine says not to wash it the next day, but I do anyway.  My husband thinks I'm crazy... but..well, maybe he's right, but as long as it makes me feel better, that's all that matters!   :D

Marci, my surgery is on Sept. 26.  I sure hope it does the trick too!!

Lori that is great! Why did you choose the 7/12 instead of other nerve grafts? I know very little about them all.
One week tomorrow, I will be thinking of you all that day and sending my healing vibes your way. Sleep well and recovery quickly.
