THIS WEEK 8/17 IN THE WACKY WONKY AN WORLD
« on: August 17, 2008, 01:57:17 pm »
So this week starts out with Zoe driving back and forth between Pittsburgh and Cleveland for consultations with Pittsburgh on Monday at Allegheny General (good hospital -- I was born there) and on to Cleveland on Wednesday to University Hospital.

And on Wednesday, Julie A has an MRI.

OK, now I'm confused.  According to the calendar, there are two AN surgeries in the same hospital in Iowa City.  The odds of that happening are astronomical.  Could it be that Cathy B and Doglover are one in the same?  In any case, best wishes to both of you (one of you) for very successful surgeries.

Then on Friday, Daisy Head Mazy has her first anniversary.  Yea Daisy!!!!!  (By the way how's the synkinesis PT going?  I'm starting to seem some tiny results).

Have a great week everyone.

Good luck to Cathy B and/or Doglover - may the surgery be short and successful.

Hey, David - you're starting to see some results from PT?  That is excellent news!!

Thanks Debbi.  It took an hour of ultrasound and a very tough massage, but my cheek muscles started to relax a bit.  Then I started getting some twitches in my lips.  Now if I could only get my eye and neck muscles to stop trying to eat and drink, I'd be on my way.  I still talk funny, but the PT said that would start to resolve itself once I got the muscles to relax. It may be a small step, but it's a positive step.

Yes, Dog Lover and Cathy B are one in the same.    :-[  I had posted my surgery on the calendar before I created a profile and then someone else posted my surgery date on there after I DID create my profile (I had forgotten to sign my name to my first posting). I couldn't figure out how to go back and delete one of them.

Ah the mystery is solved.  I was starting to become concerned that there was an AN epidemic in Iowa City.  So Cathy, all the best for a very successful surgery and a fast recovery.  Will someone be able to keep us posted on your progress?
Best wishes

Cathy:

I originally posted the 'Dog Lover' entry on the AN Treatment calendar - and I just removed it.  No problem.  :)

My thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow (Thursday).
