David,
I checked my SS info and I dated every envelope when it came.  I got my letter on a Monday!  Hopefully today will be your lucky day!  Check your bank account balance, you may have a pleasant surprise.  The first big deposit doesn't come on your normal day of the month!  Just make sure you haven't changed banks since you initially filled out the info.  I did and it was quite a pain!!
Good Luck,
Brenda
PS, Jan, it's ok that you forgot, you remember a whole lot that I miss completely......besides I have now been getting mine for one year and Capt Deb is a newby!!!!

Yes, I'm a little over-anxious and I'm definitely not patient  ;)

The mail comes at 3:00 PDT.  I did call my intake agent at Social Security and left her a message on her private line.  Haven't heard back.  Three more hours.  I am still thinking why would they post my payment amount and the day of the week I would receive it if it wasn't a done deal.  And why would they send me a password letter to manage my account.  So many questions.  Too little patience to deal with it.

URRRRRRR!!!  I keep forgetting about the time change  :P

Like you, though, I think it's a done deal.  I just don't want to start the celebration too early - Murphy's Law and all  ::)

Guess I'll just have to tune into this thread later.

It's a virtue, m'dear. You have waited too long for this end result. I'm cheering you on and hoping today's US Postal brings you the news you've been waiting on! :)

Ok, this is just a wild guess, but if your claim has gone thru and passed.  It "the password" maybe due to the fact that Social Security has been trying out a new system, in use in about 13 to 15 states where your money is directly applied to a Debit type card.  I know it's being tried out here in Washington State, I think it's been in use a good 6 plus months.  So the need for a password could be a very good thing!!!!!!

Hope it means what I think it means!!!

pissa! (as we say here in Bawsten).  Raydean makes a great note about use of password for possible direct deposit. Have you checked your bank account online (If you gave them your bank info ie: routing number, bank acct #, etc).

Hang tough!

David,

Unfortunately SSD isn't as anxious as we are.  I was awarded SSD April of this year.  I  first received a notice of decision.(about a 10 page letter).    Followed by  the notice of award(which tells the amount you'll receive)  Then I received the letter for a password(which I didn't do).  It doesn't matter what order you get these in, sounds to me like its time for you to celebrate.  Have a glass of champayne for me (I can't have my glass of wine because it makes my spasms go hey wire).  I received my check the fourth wednesday of the month also because my B-day is also the 27th.  I just called SSD to have it direct deposit into my checking account.

Thanks Mema.  I was looking for a connection between the password letter and the approval.  I was beginning to think the Password Letter is something generic that goes out to all applicants.  Why?  I don't know.  But you definitely connected the dots.  Thank you!

And to everyone else.  Thanks for hanging in there with me.  Hoping for the official word today.
