MsMaggie Sugery Update
« on: December 11, 2008, 10:05:58 am »
Everyone, here's an update I got from MsMaggie's daughter this morning:

"Hi, This is Priscilla's daughter- Meredith. My mom had her surgery yesterday, everything went really well. It was about 4.5-5 hours long, they found out she had a meningioma and not an acoustic neuroma. The removed the entire tumor and monitored her nerves the entire time. The nerves came out intact and when they wheeled her through out waiting room she gave all of us big smiles. Later when she was in ICU every time someone went in the room she would say 'meningioma' and a big grin would break out across her face. She is really happy! She has muscle function on both sides of her face and can hear out of the ear they operated on, so all is well."

It certainly sounds as if everything went better than planned.  I'll update more as I get it..

Regards,

Brian

Awwwriiiiight!  :)

Really, this is splendid news!  No facial issues and Priscilla's hearing seems to be intact.  This is a near-perfect outcome that we can all applaud and appreciate.  Makes my day!  :)

Pooter -

thanks for the update.

It sounds kind of weird to say, but I'm glad Priscilla had a meningioma.

I hope she has a smooth recovery; from her daughter's message it appears she's already doing very well.
