Hi Mary,

Having had CK and not GK, I can tell you this... seems that although not common but "can" happen are funky issues further down the road post-radio treatment. 2-1/2 yrs out, I even ran into an issue last month.... blew me away.  Not twitching, so I can't answer on that one, but spoke to a few radio docs about it... to have things crop up this far out post treatment... possible, not to be ruled out, but not common either.

If you check in with your GK team on this, please let us know what they say.

Hi Mary,
I am almost 2 years post GK, and still experience that sharp pain in my ear on occasion. I don't have "twitching", but sometimes I feel like there is a hair tickling the outside of my right eye when there is nothing there.

Hi Mary,
It's been a long time since I've checked into this site. I had CK in Sept.2004. About 7 months after CK I developed a periodic facial spasm on the side of my AN.  They only lasted about 20 seconds or so but was a little embarrasing when in public. They lasted for about 4 months. I had no pain with it and no pain in my ear. I did loose all my hearing on my AN ear shortly after CK. I was at about 40% before CK, so i expected additional lose, but not total. Overall I'm doing great and adapting to single sided deafness.
I predict your twichting will be temperary as well.  I wish you well.  Bob in OK.

Mary is your tumor stable?  Do they also do a hearing test with your MRI's?

If your tumor is stable (a few millimeters here and there are normal MRI's differences in readings), and your hearing tests show no change in hearing...it's probably something else.
