This week (2/8) in the World of the Vexatious AN
« on: February 08, 2009, 09:21:54 pm »
So it seems like America has given up on having AN surgery.  Kim, you have this week to yourself -- as far as I can tell from the calendar.

Tomorrow, Kim (Zinger1905) from DC, is having a Retrosig at John's Hopkins.  Best wishes Kim for a great and successful surgery and a quick recovery.  Will someone post us on how you're doing?

And last but not the least bit least (I say that to avoid a scolding this next year) Phyl (ppearl214), the Valentine's sweetheart (I say that in all sincerity and to avoid a scolding next year) is having a very youthful Birthday.  Happy Birthday, Phyl!!!  May your 39th year be the best ever. ;D

So that's about it for this week.  Have a great one everyone.

I was wondering if vexatious is really a word, so I Googled it. Google offered 6,980,000 results, so I guess it is. There must be a lot of vexing going on in the world...

Best wishes, Kim. Have a good surgery and a gentle recovery.

I will join you in wishing Phyl a happy birthday. I can't believe she is 39, she doesn't look a day over 27.   ;D

Steve -- I do my Roget word research.  But it is getting tougher to maintain my streak of enlightened AN adjectives.

Hi David!  I will post updates for Kim.  Should i do that on this thread?

I would start a new topic for that. Either here in AN Community or in AN Issues.

I probably already missed Kim - her surgery is today I think - but best wishes anyway.

Sue thanks for offering to be Kim's scribe.  We'll be anxiously awaiting your first report.

Phyl -

what can I say???  Joef says 21 and David says 39 - so I'll just average those two numbers and wish you a happy 30th  ;D

Hope you get all the chocolates and roses you can handle!

David:

Thanks for this week's treatment schedule.  It is a bit 'light', but that's probably a good thing.  I'm certain that Kim's surgery is over by now (late Monday afternoon) so I'll look for her updates, elsewhere.  I have to admit it was a pleasant surprise to see the adjective vexatious used in your thread header.  Since most of us are vexed at times by this AN stuff, it was an apt word.

As for Phyl, as someone soon to turn 66, (I could swear I can feel it coming up behind me) I can't afford to tease anyone about their age - so I'll simply wish Phyl a very Happy Birthday (on Saturday).   :)

Jim

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
