Deb .....

Even though I have not posted on this thread before, I have been following it with great interest.  I was so upset when I read that you were going through so many medical crises.  Now I am overjoyed that this "bump in the road" may be over and done with rather quickly!  Hurray.  (Although I know you are still hurting and I do not mean to minimize that!)

I will have to say I am a teensy bit envious because I had a hysterectomy done 25 years ago the old way and I was still hospitalized and in much pain and on Morphine 2 days out!!!

Rest well ..... give your body plenty of time to heal.

Ahoy there Capt. Deb,

I hope you're soon feeling back in the pink!  In the meantime rest and recover.

Best wishes,

Hmmm.  Sounds like the good Captain had a laproscopic procedure - much better than the days of totally invasive adominal surgery for sure.  It's widely used for gynecological and gallbladder surgeries alike these days.  I had several laporoscopies back in the days when I was trying to get pregnant with my twins.

Here's hoping Deb's back on her feet in record time  ;D

Thanks for the update, Phyl.

JUST SPOKE TO CAPTN DEB... AGAIN.....

Well, our dear Captn had a bit of a setback over the weekend.  Some issues arose due to the surgical procedure and she ended up doing another 13 hrs in the emergency room.  She is back home and trying to rest. She said that today, she is a minute bit better, able to get out of bed and get over to the couch and back........ pain levels could be better and they've changed pain meds on her (I offered up mine... but have to check with my doc first :D )

So, she's hanging tough and hoping she comes back online soon.  While she's laid up, she's planning mischief and mayhem for the Symposium :o  *looks around to make sure no one from the ANA is looking over shoulder*  8)

I have a feeling she'll be back online soon.  She luffs us too much to stay away too long!

No need for bail money - we'll break her ouit. Thats the least we could do and probably what she'd expect.

Phyl -

thanks for the update on the good Captain.

I'm sorry to hear she's still under the weather.

We'll just have to make sure she gets plenty to drink during the symposium - afterall, Steve's buying  ;)  :D

If you talk to Deb again before she's well enough to get back on the forum, please give her my best  ;D

 Cap Deb,

 Prayers are headed your way.
I've had 2 of them and have to agree with Jim.  Needle is big but you really dont feel a thing except a slight pinch when they take the biopsy.  You will probably have to stay still on your side for 1 - 2 hours when they are done.  That was probably the worst part.

 Capt Deb,

Must of jumped in here late.  You've already had it done and back to ER again.  Hope you are feeling much better and rid of the pain.

Capt,
I haven't been following the forum regularly lately.  Sorry to hear about your travails, and hope you're finally on the mend.  Here's a diddy for ya'.

One day deb was paintin’ for some dough.
When up from the gut came a bubblin’ foe.
She visited the ER, and found a favorite nurse.
Her crew came a runnin’ with a shout and a curse.
She needs a new protective hex or inflection.
But what she got was more meds and resection.
Regaining her sea legs, and grumblin’ all the while.
Her crew really loves her, and her pirate style.
Looking forward to Chicago, we’re soon to set sail.
To party with the crew, “Who’s bringin’ bail?

Regards,
  Rob
