cakes, if you are going to be the professor when we begin our 3 hr cruise, then I'm keeping my gold lame life jacket on at all times! (j.k.) ;)

Ok, the themed cuisine is certainly coming together.

Now, for those that have been on cruises, we need to come up with Spa treatments for those of us that need them (line forms behind me, folks!) and water games for the pools up on deck.  You know... horse races, belly flop contests.... yet... we need an added twist....and, of course, games for the onboard casino!  Heck, we are already risk takers (are we not??? ;) ), so what games can we come up with?  Slots, a given.  Heck, it's only money, or should we come up with another idea instead of money to use for betting?

*taps forehead with finger, deep in thought*
Damn... I wish I could feel that!

Hey Phyl our cruise director-
I was wondering what your plan was for seating arrangments at dinner? I guess you are going to have to make sure you have enough BAHA people sandwiched in between us single sided deaf. Wow! do you have your work cut our for you! Oh, the most importan thing...NO background music.

YES! for cANdy.  Anyone ever have a chocolate martini?

As for Gilligan's Island...Mr. and Mrs. Thurston Howell III (hope that's right) used to drive me crazy.

big YES for video poker

Just got a call from my doctor, I had a  biopsy done on a lump I found in my breast and it was negative. Yippee! I have been on pins and needles for almost 2 weeks. I want to thank you all for helping to take my mind off of it. First round of drinks are on me!!!! Now if I could only figure out what is going on with the AN side of my head (that is another thread)

Thanks again and have a great day!

matti, you wench!  FAB news on your phone call today and I no longer have to purchase stock in Ban Solid deodorant!  YAY!!!  (truly, congrats hun on the terrific news! :) )

Geeze, seating assignments, etc... hmmmmmmmmm...

Ok, who all here is single? Who's bringing spouses/significant others so I know how to seat you all?

Single women, form line behind me....
single males, form line behind...who ever posts first that they are single male

Married or SO couples... form line behind... um....... hell, just anyone.  We'll let you on this cruise! ;)

Ok, no loud music.  That's a given.  Video poker... ok, that works

Now, for theme night in the disco (of course!), should we do a speed dating for the single folks?  For the married/SO folks, we can do "The Newlywed Game", even if you've been married for what seems like eons????  (yeah, I've been married...I certainly know that EON feeling!)

As the lovely menu is coming together... we must remember our dear wine steward and order up plenty of ChiANti for ItaliAN night.  AsiAN night... noodles, sushi (ok, who's REALLY game for sushi?) and tempura (forget our girly figures all!).    Now, since we will be sailing around the CarribbeAN, we can't forget MexicAN night.

Ok, everyone.. .join in with me now!

*starts to sing*

Love, exciting and new,
Come aboard.
We're expecting you.
Love, life's sweetest reward.
Let it flow,
it floats back to you.

The Love Boat
soon will be making another run.
The Love Boat promises something for everyone.
Set a course for adventure,
Your mind on a new romance.

Love won't hurt anymore
It's an open smile on a friendly shore.

It's Looooove!
Welcome aboard - It's Looooove!

(it's TGIF and end of my work day... can you tell?) :)

me me me I'm single!

I did the newlywed game on a cruise I went on and I wasn't even married to the guy   ;D  We took 3rd place..not too shabby for just meeting the night before (he was at my dinner table)

Seating will def. be a challenge.  Everyone will have to sit on my right please  lol  But then again if we use round tables it's not as bad just need to not use the really big tables and limit the number of people at each.  We can always change seating nightly so we can all make the rounds.

Phyl you can't form the head of the single line you have a cheeky bloke you can head the cheeky bloke line lol

you know we def. need some major spa activity...massages, facials, mani and pedicures.  Of course all spa services for the single gals are done by really hot greek gods Now we're talking eye cANdy   ;)

*gently pushes the batty-one aside without knocking her over*.... behind me toots... my bloke is over 3k miles away and he ain't coming on the cruise! :D

Hmmmmmmm... round tables... hell, we could lip read or hand gestures/signals... that way, no one speaks loud and if you don't hear someone, you just smile and nod your head (my mother taught me that when we moved from Boston to Atlanta... if we didn't understand someone with a HEAVY southern accent, just smile and nod your head) :D

Greek Adonis for single females at the spa... gawd, I LOVE the way you think! ;)  I wonder if we can get YANni (be still my heart) to be a special guest for shipboard entertainment?  That'll work!

Darn, well I guess I can't sit by you Battyprincess, because you would need to sit on my right as well. Hmmm.... I guess we could sit a BAHA wearer between us.  like I said earlier, our cruise director has a tough job getting all of us seated in just the right spot.

Hey that's not fair, because I am married you won't allow me to have a massage done by a hot greek god?  So who do I get????? Getting a vision... and it's not pretty.

Well, speaking of  hot Greek gods, mine is on his way home from yet another business trip. This time Hawaii, poor guy.  He travels ALOT! Again, yet another reason for my reality tv addiction.

I also do the smile and nod. Always has me wondereing what it is I just agreed to.

have a great evening

matti, batty... I think we're in trouble if both of you are going to be on the cruise! ;)  Remind me to make sure your cabins are on OPPOSITE sides of the ship... I'm talking bow to stern! :)

*runs off giggling, stubs toe on floor*

Ya know Kilroy is on his cruise now and had the nerve to leave us behind!

Saw Yanni back in the summer of 1995 in Atlanta (yes, Linda Evans was in the crowd), then saw him last year in Manchester NH.  To this day, he still looks like an Adonnis and performs like an Adonnis  :P

*hobbles off on sore toe to take cold shower* ;)

P.S. Hoping Kilroy sends us a postcard.. and still cursing my dad for leaving me behind when he sets sails tomorrow.... :'(

Tether ropes...a brilliant idea!

Yani...another brilliant idea!  He is soooooo gorgeous :-*

In addition to our ItaliAN night cuisine, I forgot LasANga. I am ItaliAN how could I make a mistake like that. For our entertainment we gotta be authentic, so how about watching episodes of the SoprANo's?   Only 9 more days and counting, I love the SoprANo's.

I think we better borrow a little something from Vegas... What happens on the ship, stays on the ship! ;)

Geez this thread about the cruise and the food and Yanni is hilarious--hope you don't mind if I butt in!
I actually lived in the Caribbean for 25 years where I was a sailboat charter captain--one of the first women to do so down there.  Just a year before my AN was diagnosed, I helped deliver a 42 foot sailboat from Florida to Charleston, SC, sailing offshore for 3 days and I actually got a little seasick for the first time in my enitre life and I actually had to take medication, which made me giggle like crazy for hours.  Luckily one of my shipmates was a doc.

Would love to participate in a cruise as long as we go to ANtigua, ANguilla, ANegada and Barbados ( the locals are called BajANs! I've been to all these places and they are beautiful! :)
There is a Star Clipper line and a Windjammer Line that both offer Sailing cruises on large vessels.  A bunch of ANers on a sailboat--what a hoot!

Have a good Sunday
