OK Crew we need to extend the application/nomination process for at least another week as some of us wenches and scallywags (meanin' meself) have been a might lazy and not keeping up wiv the scuttlebutt.

We could make Ship's Chronologer like the title of "Town Drunk" when I lived on St John. There was no Official Town Drunk.  We all took turns.

Laz, I hope you will stay on as Master-at-Arms.  Someone's got to keep us in water balloons and surgical tubing and funnels.  Gotta keep the keys to the brig, too!

I think that if I ignore this situation long enough it will go the way I want it to and not the way that it is headed.  I can not accept this change yet.  Sorry Laz as I am only thinking of myself.  I have officially made this year all about me as I told my family in late December.  This unfortunatley affects everyone around me including my fellow PBW shipmates.    :'(  Miserable deck swabbie 16
I believe you are given choices in life and it is not what has happened to you that defines who you are.  It is how you handle the situation and finding the positive in an almost hopeless situation that counts the most.  My son is my hero and I have had the pleasure of learning this from him.

To our Laz

In the midst of our cruise,
Our chronologer doth leave,
I wipe my flowing tears,
With my big puffy sleeve. :'(

Laz, you're the best mate,
A crew ever knew,
Bold! Cunning! Clever!
Men like you are few.  ;)

We've weathered storms,
High seas and gales,
You've written the best
of lively Pirate Tales. ;D

Please take a bow,
Our dear Aussie friend,
From Scallywags and Wenches,
Our love we doth send.  :-*

He may not be writing,
the on-going story,
But the PBW still sails,
With all of her glory. :)

So retirement it is
We'll just have to cope,
Let's have some grog,
There's no time to mope.  :)

Laz is in charge,
of shrimp on the barbie,
And the parrot squawks,
IT'S TIME TO PARTY!  ;D ;D

Thank you.   Well, I am a bit confused as to if Laz is going to be off the ship altogether, or if he is along for the ride!

Maybe he can clear this up for us.  I just had a brillant idea.  I think you should be nominated.  Would you accept the nomination that I am offering?  ;) 16

*blush*  ahhh, that's nice of ya.

I was thinking Steve.  Did you read that wonderful take-off of the Night Before Christmas?  Or rotating, like Capt Deb suggested.  One person every month, or something like that.

And I swear, if I win some gigantic lottery, I'm going to throw the best Pirate Party this, or any crew, has ever seen and everyone will be flown to some Caribbean port o call, and we'll just boogie the night away.  I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you...but you never know.

Hey, we haven't done a summer Alaskan cruise yet, have we?  Hey Capt'n!!!! Whatta think? You think the PBW can withstand sailing through icebergs?

Ok, we need to find LADavid his role on the PBW... was thinking Director of Stage Show enterntainment since he's kinda got that entertainment/LA/rub elbows with celebs backround, ya know?  He'd have to work with me (poor chap!) and will have CB give him lessons on how to tolerate me... whatta think folks? :D

Signed,
Cursed, cruise director.... heading up to the Sun Deck to get bingo game started!

Perhaps LADavid could finally fullfill our dream of bringing the lovely Mr. Matthew McConghey onboard the PBW  ;)

I'm afraid I won't be able to fulfill your dreams.  I don't know Matthew.  My only "star" friend is Anthony Hopkins and I don't think he is the dream material you are seeking.  I'll keep looking for you though.
