Thought I'd better get back here to see what's going on. Wow! Movie people! An Academy Award Winning Script!
We may make it on Oprah yet!
About my nomination. I'm so flattered. But, I'm not sure if I would have the time right now for such a worthy position. Our son left his wife and moved into an apartment. He had to sell back his dog, Jaz, to the breeder. If you want to see how big and beautiful Jaz is, go to this site and look for The Girls and then you'll find Jaz.
http://www.vomholtzberg.com/We (mostly me) are dogsitting for four 12 hour days, Deigo, his Belgian Malinois.

This is a high drive 8 month old puppy and I spend those four days walking the dog, and loving on the dog, and trying to retrieve shoes, socks, gloves, paper towel rolls, kleenex, and whatever else that dog snags, out of his mouth. We don't have a fully fenced back yard, so he can't roam free and he's either in the house or on the leash with me. I put him out on a long, long leash our son had, but he bit right through it in about 5 seconds flat. Then there is the occasional misreading of his intentions, and I end up cleaning up a toxic waste "dump" from my living room carpet. Yuck.
Then Friday, Saturday and Sunday is for the rest of the stuff that I didn't get done on the other four days. Like today....I gotta clean this place up and get ready for another 4 days of Diego. A quick week or two goes by and I remember that I haven't checked in with the Forum bunch in a while. I'm not sure I could fill Laz's shoes anyway. But I thank you for the nomination. Truly. (PS. I see they are going to make a movie with Jennifer Anniston and Owen Wilson out of the book, "Marley and Me". I can't recommend this book highly enough. It's hilarious. And touching. And smart. And, did I mention hilarious? Read the book, people, read the book.)
On another note, I had an MRI last Friday and I'm supposed to be seeing the dr for the results this coming Friday, which I just realized is Leap Day. This will be almost 2 years since I was diagonosed with my AN. I learned what I had after my MRI in early March two years ago, right after I turned 60. Now my 62nd birthday is Saturday, and I am confident that Dr. Modha will be giving me good news for my birthday present! I am sure he will say that necrosis is continuing...if that's the right terminology. I will post what he has to say, of course. Wouldn't want to keep you guys out of the loop!
There was a new MRI machine in place at Rebound, where I go. The Tech said that it was 30% faster and 30% better imaging than the old one, but, unfortunately, not 30% quieter. It was acutally louder! So, what kind of technology is that! Anyway, I am lucky that I don't have a problem with having an MRI and, other than feeling like you are inside a washing machine/car alarm/proton accelerator, I was fine and in 40 minutes I was out of there and on to Trader Joe's.
Okay, gotta go clean.
Love ya guys,
Sue in Vancouver
