vertigo and physio
« on: April 15, 2009, 04:53:40 pm »
ahhh nothing like a bath and shave..Second night out of surgery, I had 3 bouts of vertigo...kinda freaked me out but then I Had a little chat with Mr.Brain and no prolblem since...I am slow moving but moving..no weight restrictions were put on me..They told me I have strong stomach muscles...I should after all those stomach needles to prevent cloths...Felt like I WAS  having 21 shots of anitirabiess...a pin cushion. I am shocked that the doc didnt order physio...so I started my own regimene...knitting, lifting pop bottles/soup cans...So far so good, I am happy...I'M very independant and will push myself but aslo knowing my limitation...bath by myself but needed help in and out..so all is good

So, Jo, you didn't have the fat plug?  That incision is what's keeping me from a bath or half shower.  Still doing the wash cloth routine which is pretty inadequate, but I sure don't want any infections!

Nancy, don't you have a big waterproof dressing (like a big bandaid) on your tummy?  I could have a shower because of that.  The brand was opsite.
Right sided AN 2.7cm at last MRI.  Hearing loss/facial numbness.  Translab scheduled March 11th 2009.  Translab at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia successful!  Total tumour removed, SSD, no facial issues, numbness has left the building, balance issues but they'll get better and I'm loving life!

Well, no, I don't, just steri strips for the incision site and a wad of gauze held in place by tape for the drain.  Perhaps I'll call in this morning to see if I am allowed.  I was told to keep incisions dry for two weeks.  I'm on day 9.
Still no you-know-what either!

Nope.  Was it in another thread?  Send it to me via PM so we can get out of Jo's thread before Phyl catches us!
