That's so great...I will make a note of this medication in event my post-op headaches do not resolve themselves. Not migraines, but nagging occipital headaches, worse at night...just 3 weeks post-op translab so giving it some time, hoping they will resolve:)

Yes, it's one of those drugs that you can't take very often or you will get a rebound headache.

Hope you're feeling better!

I've also gotten relief from MaxAlt.  The problem is that I probably need it almost daily and I wasn't prescribed that much.

I'm taking Amitriptyline daily.  I was given Ketoprofen and MaxAlt to take as needed.  But they didn't mean daily.

So I pick and choose the days that I really want to feel good and tolerate the rest.  My head pain seems to be linked to moving.  If I am totally motionless, I'm ok.  What a life!!  When I start and stop is when my head seizes.  My Chiropractor said it is because starting and stopping effects spinal fluid flow.  Walking the dogs is pretty bad when they stop and start alot to sniff.  And picking up after them kills me to bend over.  i try to squat without losing my balance.  I wonder at times what my neighbors think when I squat in slow motion and get back up at a snails pace.

I'm trying to decide if the Amitriptyline is doing anything other than make me crave sweets.
