I went back to my hairdresser six months after my surgery.  She was super gentle and took alot more time than usual.  I have no complaints.  I think as long as you tell them what to expect and please be gentle they will follow your instructions.

I have been coloring my hair since my surgery.  I have shoulder length hair, so its not cheap, but its better than the alternative.  Also I am happy to say my hair growth at my incision is finally long enough to put into a pony tail.  No more 80's hair for me!! Yippee!! :D

Yes, I have a ton of grey hair after my surgery.  Not one before.  Most women in my family don't go grey until their late sixties, so at 55 I am an oddity.  Hair color doesn't cover mine up either!!  What has worked for you?

Brendalu,

I don't know what they do, I go to a salon.  I had some grey before but very little, just a few here and there.

But now on my AN side I notice they are abundent.

Good Luck finding a solution.
