There are two GK treatments coming up on Valentine's Eve, aka Friday the 13th. Paul and Marion, you can meet them here:

Best wishes Paul and Marion.

That gives us a respectable 3 members getting treatment this week. Having only 1 was vexing me. :)

Best Wishes also to Paul and Marion and welcome , Kim, to "postieland." Hope you have a great surgical outcome.

Now as for you Mrs Baxter--

Words cannot express what a dear friend you have been to me for the past 3 count 'em 3 years, m'dear!  I can hardly believe I have never actually laid eyes on you but you have become the next best thing to a best friend that I know of. How many times have we laughed , cried, commiserated b#$%ed and moaned on the phone? I have truly lost count.  The work you do for others on this site is beyond compare.

I hope your birthday, whichever one it is, only you and the Cheeky One know for sure, is spectacular.  I know I will be celebrating it for you down here in Florida, too. Wish you were here.  I really do.

A little cyber-goody for you!

LA David,
Having lived half my life in the West Indies, I truly admire your choice of the word vexacious.  It be a very West Indian word, mon! To "vex" someone is to make them mad or pi$$ them off and is a well-worn word "down dey." Also the West Indians are  fond of putting -acious at the end of everything because it makes everything rhyme.   Great for making up songs around Carnival time!

Stay up!

I find the English language fascinating. Why, for example, is the adjective form for vex vexatious, but the adjective for perplex is just perplexing? Wouldn't perplexatious be a much more fun word? Or funner as the case may be.

Yes, but a West Indian would say "Don't be vexing me, now, you stupid AN!" (Trying to stay on topic--tee-hee!)

Hugs,
