Amazing! I had hardly no movement @ 5/6 months. You look great! I am 15 months post op and just starting to get a little smile.

Debbi -- does it take a lot of effort to make your smile that big or is it just the natural movement when you smile now?

Good question, Sara.  I do have to consciously think about moving that side of my mouth.  What I do is try to lift that side up first and then let my good side "join in."  If I try to launch a smile without thinking about it, the smile is quite a bit more lopsided.  If that makes sense...

And thanks to everyone for your kind words and encouragement.  It still feels very unnerving to me to look at pictures of myself in the "early" days. And it is very hard to let other people see those pictures. The thing is that I trust you all so much and you make me feel very safe.  Thank you...
