I am a Postie
« on: February 23, 2010, 01:28:57 pm »
 :D
I cannot tell you how good it feels to be on the "other side" of my surgery.  It's been 13 days since my retrosigmoid at Virginia Mason from Drs. Backous and Farroukhi and I could not have picked better surgeons.  The six months or so of research and preparation both physical and emotional supported my success, but I have to thank all of you on this forum who have been so encouraging as well.  I hope to be as helpful to those in line behind me as you in front of me have been.

Thank you again.

Maria .....

Congratulations on becoming a postie.  It sounds like you had a successful surgery but tell us a little more about how you are feeling, etc.

Best wishes for continued smooth recovery.

Marla ~

Congratulations on a successful AN surgery - and thanks for the kind words.  I'm so glad to learn that these forums were a benefit to you as you contemplated your surgery.  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

No need to tell some of us, we remember it quite well  ;)

Congratulations on your postie status, Marla.

Congrats on becoming a postie! Make sure you get plenty of rest and don't push yourself too fast. Enjoy being home with loved ones and allow yourself to be spoiled alittle bit. YOU deserve it! Have an easy recovery.
