Vincent87,
Can I ask how large your mom's AN is? I am also afraid of waiting too long, since my tumor is close to the brainstem. Has your mom continued with no symptoms except ringing? I hope things go well for her. Keep us posted.

Antionette: Yes I do live in the Toronto area and yes I was treated at Sunnybrook, this past Sept. Dr Nedzelski removed my "regrowth". My original surgery was at Toronto Western, Dr. Gintilli, however he did not feel the regrowth was "medically indicated" to be removed and he would not removed it for my psychological well being so I went to see Dr, Ned, and he removed it, again he did not see it as medically necessary however understood how much having "Tina" in there growing was harming me psychologically. I have nothing but great things to say about both of these doctor's and the nursing care I recieved at Sunnybrook was wonderful. Kathleen
1st AN surgery @ age 23, 16 hours
Loss of 7-10th nerves
mulitple "plastic" repairs to compensate for effects of 7th nerve loss
tumor regrowth, monitored for a few years then surgically removed @ age 38 (of my choice, not medically necessary yet)
