Anyone heard about Scripps clinic?
« on: June 13, 2006, 07:59:23 pm »
Hello All:

We are finding a lot of good information after recently found that I've 1.7 cm left AN.  Recently talked to one neuroradiologist and he indicated that Scripps clinic in San diego is one of the best in US?

I searched quite a bit on google and ANA but no luck so far.   :(

Anyone heard any results (good or bad) from scripps clinic?      ???

Thanks,

Battyp

I've never heard of them or have come across any info in my searches.  Anyone else?

I don't know anything about Scripps' doctors' abilities to treat AN, but Scripps is very highly respected in southern California. As far as their hospitals, the La Jolla one on Genessee is the most high tech.

Hope this is helpful.

My Scripps Clinic ENT referred me to a local neurosurgeon who recommended me CK for my AN.  The local neurosurgeon helped me finalized my CK treatment decision.  There is a new CK Center opened up in San Diego (just a few minutes from my house).  I am also now getting a Scipps Clinic primary care doctor since I never had one before AN.  He has actually been another San Diego AN patient's primary care and has been sending his follow up MRIs and hearing tests to Stanford.

Not sure if that's the Scripps Clinic you are referring to?  Do you live in San Diego?

The Scripps Medical System in San Diego has an excellent reputation.  If I lived in the San Diego area that is one of the hospitals the I (an RN) would love to work in.  I do not however have any information regarding their neurosurgery department.  If is is the same class as cardiology, go for it!.

I have had Gamma Knife surgery at the San Diego Gamma Knife Center at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, Calif -- which I can recomend.  Dr. Ott and Dr. Hodgens are the Drs. to contact.  Please contact me if you would like more information from my experience.
