Potential new treatment for NF2

It is absolutely wonderful to read about a potential new treatment target for NF2, a cruel disease that results in so much morbidity and mortality. I am glad research on it continues. Read on:

Right side AN (6x3x3 cm) removed in 1988 by Drs. Benjamin & Cohen at NYU (16 hrs); nerves involved III - XII.
Regrowth at the brainstem 2.5 cm removed by Dr.Shahinian in 4 hrs at SBI (hopefully, this time forever); nerves involved IV - X with VIII missing. No facial or swallowing issues.

Hi Jerseygirl! This is a great article for the possible near future of AN treatment. At the last NYU NYC support meeting we went over alot of this with Dr`s and they were very excited with the possibilities. Wishing for the best. Mickey
