Dave is Doing Well
« on: May 02, 2012, 08:55:54 am »
Dave (davecz) asked me to post on here that his surgery was last Friday (April 27th) in LA, at Kaiser Hospital, with Drs. Friedman and Schwartz from HEI doing the surgery.  The tumor was larger than expected so the surgery was a bit longer than anticipated ..... but they got the whole thing.  He did well and no facial issues.  He was up and walking by Sunday morning and discharged to Seton Hall on Monday.  Pretty amazing!

Prayers were answered.  Hopefully he will post himself soon.

OK, here goes an attempt to insert a photo of Dave just before discharge from the hospital.  In case you cannot read it, his shirt says "more powerful than an acoustic neuroma."

Thanks to everyone for your support. I'm in Seton recovering. The days are long and painful. But I'm thankful to have no balance issues, no facial nerve damage and NO more tu tumor. What an amazing journey. I'm hurting today so this will be short. I met Ray yesterday and today, but briefly due to my headache. I'm so glad I listened to many of you and that I followed my faith on this surgery. Awesome team down here.  I'll be back.

Dave you are looking fabulous. I didn't post your update because you mentioned privacy on your caringbridge site. Clarice thank you for updating. You are mother hen...LOL. You always take us under your wings.

No problem, Mindy. I wasn't ready then, so you did right. BTW, Dr Swartz says, "hello". He had a big smile when I said  hi for you.

Good on ya Dave!  Loving the T-shirt.  I wore one with DILLIGAF (Google it because it's too rude to put on here LOL). My son bought it for me.

Thankyou for the update Clarice. xxoo
