« on: August 11, 2006, 11:00:28 am »
Hi everyone,
I'm scheduled in Sept. for re-animation surgery. They will do a temporalis tendon transfer. It's a new surgery, only 2 years old.   Dr. Patrick Byrne at john hopkins in Baltimore will do the surgery.  There is a news article at his web-site explaning all about it.....

I would like to hear from you guys that have had any surgeries done for facial paralysis. I'm really happy and excited about all of this!!!!

Hi Patti, I for one will be watching closely for your updates on how well this surgery works for you. I wish you the best of luck and hope this will be like a miracle. Many of us here would benefit with a good option to treat facial paralysis. For that is the hardest problem I had to deal with since my surgery. I will be thinking of you.   Hugz, Sherry
