Eyelid Weights - How many times and weight?
« on: April 22, 2013, 07:59:06 am »
All, I am considering the 3 surgery for the gold eyelid weight implant. I am 10 years post event so no chance of recovery. I started at 1.2 grams 5 years ago, down to 1.0 3 years ago and now considering 0.8 or 0.6. I want the eye to close but not droop so much.

Any feedback on how many times you can do this surgery without long term harm and how light can you go?

Thanks!

I'm sorry, I do not know the answer to your question. I think you are fortunate to be able to go down in weight. I have had a 1.8 gram platinum weight, the heaviest they come in platinum, for nearly five years.

There are some folks here who have had several implant surgeries. I'm sure they will chime in. Have you asked your surgeon?

Best wishes,
Sara
