incisional sensitivity

I am 4 years post op and have had intermitent sensitivity (numbness) at the site of my incision.  recently it has become almost constant.  I have also just recently had surgery on my shoulder and wanted if it is related to my neck strain from being in a sling.  anyone had a similiar experience?
