I am approved for BAHA!
« on: April 30, 2013, 02:13:36 pm »
I tried 3 years ago but my insurance denied it, so I went with a Transear.  Also, after many crazy compliations from my original surgery, the doctors did not think the surgery was a wise choice for me at the time.  Although the Transear was a substantial improvement over SSD, it was my second choice.  I got new insurance, so I decided to give BAHA another try.  The procedure is scheduled for June 6.  So sometime in September I should be able to report on the difference between the BAHA and the Transear.

Terrific!  Is trans-ear the device that one can return and receive a partial refund if not satisfied?  Thanks. Mil

Susan ~

I know it has been a long haul for you to secure a BAHA.  Tenacity pays!  Congratulations!

Jim
4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
