Full Moon
« on: October 17, 2013, 09:01:39 am »
Thought I would just throw this question out there for some fun - several of us notice a difference in our symptoms with changes to the barometric pressure, we're good at predicting rain or snow, but what about when there is a full moon?  I personally can associate headaches with a full moon and sometimes feel just a little bit more wonky.  It might be "just me" and have absolutely nothing to do with a full moon, but you just never know!

I have big problems during the full moon.

I grow a lot of hair, my teeth get longer, I go out at night and can't remember what I did or where my clothing got to.

I would have been hugely disappointed Jack if your response hadn't been the first one - I saw it coming before I even posted!

Dear Cathie,

Please forgive the levity associated with the spooky holiday (its a sesonal thing) better to deal with laughter then  sadness.

But to your question of do some of us feel wonky at full moons? Yes, I did notice that my time of the month for feeling dizzy usually coincided with the cyclical tides! Until my swelling went down and now I stumble only a little.

Here's hoping your symptoms fade into distant memories as well!

Hi Mike,

Yes Halloween is almost here and tonight there is a beautiful full moon so it just seemed like an appropriate time to throw that question out there and have some fun with it.  Makes sense to me that some of us may be more sensitive to the lunar cycle given how we react to barometric pressure changes.  Now when you stop and think about it (ArizonaJack are you paying attention?) if ocean tides are higher during a full moon, makes me wonder, would I be more wonky if I were on the coast tonight than being 1,800 miles inland!  ;D

Enjoy the weekend!
