« on: September 10, 2006, 06:16:23 pm »
Hi,

I was wondering if you can still have an MRI even with the BAHA?  What is the post made of?  is it titanium?

thanks,

I sure hope so because I want a BAHA.  I like my yearly MRI's. I am sure Joef and Pembo will reply.  They both have the BAHA.

I got here first! , Yes you can have MRI's ... I had a couple since my "post" was put in ..
and yes it a titanium implant .. the reason is the body does not reject it ... the bone actually bonds
with it ..

My new hips are titanium.  They always ask if I have any metal in my body.  I say yep, total hips - they say get into the machine, hips don't matter......
