Hi, everybody, I've seen a lot of guys asking about diving with vestibular neuromas. I've been a commercial diver for 23 years and was diagnosed in 2011 with a 10cm neuroma left sided. I have approximately 65% hearing loss in the affected ear, but 100% hearing in the other ear. My clinic told me that I'd probably had this growth for up to 10 years up to the date of diagnoses, so therefore now had it for 13 years approximately. The 5 scans I've had to date have shown only suspicious possible width growth. I have dived all over the world and on air/nitrox and He/02 and to depths exceeding 74 metres. I have not had any problems whatsoever from this condition, but that said it doesn't mean it's the same for everyone. Just like to enlighten people on my experience as a commercial diver with this neuroma.
Happy & safe diving to you all
