any local support group in the Richmond, VA area

Does anyone know of  a support group in the Richmond, VA area or within an hours drive?

Not really, it seems, there seemed to be one for awhile, but the one time I tried to attend a meeting it got cancelled and I never saw plans for another...though I may have missed it.

Do you need someone to talk to?

yes.  In ww and was hoping for a group of people who have chosen various options and recommendations on treatment centers should it ever (thinking positive) become necessary.
