Dry Eye post Gamma Knife

I'm posting my dry eye question under Radiation because I am specifically interested in knowing how many folks have developed a dry eye problem post GK or CK.  I thought dry eye problems were more common post surgery, and that it was very rare to experience dry eye issues post GK. For those who did develop dry eye issues post GK, was it something that self corrected over time and if so how long, or is it something that has lingered?

My GK treatment was Sept. 2013 and my dry eye issues started up during the winter of 2014.  I've been using gels regularly and seeing a Neuro-opthalmologist once every 3 months. With winter returning and that lovely cold dry air, I'm increasing the amount and number of times I use the gel just to remain comfortable. Would love to hear how common this issue is with post GK folks.
