How soon did anyone start to fly after radiosurgery
« on: October 25, 2016, 08:42:10 am »
Dear all,

I had GK for a 3cm acoustic neuroma in July. My 3 month MRI showed necrosis but swelling all around my tumor. My neurosurgeon says that since I am not having headaches, dizziness or unsteadiness, it should be safe for me to fly?
I am nervous when I see the swelling...how did anyone else handle flight travel?

Interested to hear, thanks
Elsy

I don't remember anyone here that had trouble flying after GK, could have been.   I think most people could fly immediately after their treatment.

Sudden Partial hearing loss 5/28/10
Diagnosed 7/4/10
CK 7/27/10
2/21/11 Swelling 13x6x7mm

Dear Paul and Rupert,

Thanks for the reassuring news.

This is just for a hoilday, and got a little spooked by all the brain swelling around my treated AN...

All my thanks,
Elsy
