Symptoms of sore throat, chin and legs 4 years after surgery
« on: August 07, 2024, 09:21:46 pm »
Hello, I had 4cm retro/translab surgery in 2020 and the tumor has stabilized since then.

After 4 years, I experienced symptoms of sore throat everywhere, pain from ear to mouth and sharp pain inside the mouth. I also have nerve pain problems in my feet and toes. Severe pain all night and day.

Does anyone have the same situation as me? I need advice.

Hi beauharlan!

Thanks for posting on the forums.  Maybe someone else will share something which will give you some direction.

But since no one has responded yet, let me add a thought or two.

First, let me state that I am not a physician and I certainly cannot give any diagnosis.

But it seems to me that your symptoms seem very different than what others who have had translab surgery have experienced, judging by the posts on these forums.  I don't know of anyone who had severe pain in their feet and toes as a result of the surgery.  And it is interesting that you experienced them four years after your surgery.

This makes me wonder if these symptoms are indicative of a totally different issue.  Have you spoken to any specialist about what other options  your severe pain may be from?

I'm sorry that you are experiencing this, and I wish you all the best in your future.
