Acupuncture

I am 3 months status post surgical removal of my an with a sub-occipital craniotomy. I started getting daily headaches after 1 or 2 weeks, they’re pretty uncomfortable but generally respond to Tylenol or NSAID’s. More recently my neck has been really bothering me as well. I would like to try acupuncture but it’s not covered by my insurance, except for lower back pain (weird) so I’d like to know if it would be effective before I shell out the money. I’m wondering if anyone has tried acupuncture for headaches/neck pain with good results.
