Well, I got the report back from the nerve conduction testing on my left arm/hand. The conclusion? "There is neurophysiologic evidence of severe ulnar nerve dysfunction at the left elbow." Well, duh!!!
At least I now have a doctor's note saying there's a problem. Now I have to somehow get ahold of my neurosurgeon and see what the next step is, or if there's any hope at all of this getting better. I at least want the name of a neurologist who specilizes in this kind of nerve damage.
Of all the possible risks of AN surgery, I'm still amazed that I ended up with none of the facial or dizziness problems, but have a numb hand from a pressure bruise. Mind you, I'm really not complaining! I'm just still amazed by it. And I am going to follow-up - I've adapted a lot to this, but that means I'm using that hand when I shouldn't be and I drop a lot of things. Including hot oatmeal on my almost-2-year-old's head!
At least he recovered quickly.
And I guess I won't be playing violin again anytime soon...
Anyhoo...
