Alternate medicine...any experiences?

  HI all and good morning
I just wanted to share something with you all concerning stem cell research...and the formation of benign tumours at the site of stem cell transplantation (I hope I am explaining this correctly!!!)
Apparently, researchers were transplanting stem cells into rats and whilst the stem cells were effectively growing new things etc they were also subject to onset of benign tumours. Reseachers then began encapsulating the stem cells in thiamin and ta-da...no more tumours. Which brings me to the thought that thiamin must be a pretty powerful substance in the fight against tumours... have any of you read or heard about this research and what thoughts do you have?
Also, I have heard that Wakame (and other forms of seaweed) is pretty special stuff and used for tumors and the like.
My mum is a great advocate of alternate therapies (particularly Chinese medicine) and I wondered whether any of you guys have any thoughts/experience with alternate medicine that you could share

Hi Monie,

I went to a chinese doc and she advised me to drink wheat grass daily (or as often as I make it to the grocery store) and vitamin C.   I also did a couple of sessions of "reconnective therapy" with Herwig.

It is really what I call alternative, but I really felt it made a difference for me.

Since then, I had ck treatment too.   So far, I'm doing very well with minimal symptoms - I'm waiting to hear back from my first MRI results 3 month post treatment.

  Am having acupunture since mid October 2x per week (with 'Luminex laser' after the treatments),
  am taking Alpha Lipoic with Coenzyme Q10, also taking Omega-3 Fish Oil,
  all in hopes of rejuvenating the facial nerve.
