facial pain
« on: January 06, 2007, 09:13:24 pm »
Hey guys. I don't post much but I have a question.  I had GK in March 2003. So far my MRI's are good-no growth and it looks like the tumor is dying. But I'm experiencing facial pain on my affected side.  I also have some numbness in the same side.  The pain and numbness are not constant-they come and go and vary in severity-mostly it feels like I'm grinding my teeth or just got hit in the face.  Has anyone else experienced this?

Yep, it has been happening to me since a few months after my radiosurgery. Is this a recent problem for you, or have you been feeling this since 2003? You may wish to talk to your doctor about it; there may be drugs that they can prescribe to help you.

Kilroy,

It's nice to know someone out there knows what I'm talking about.  This has been happening since I had GK. Are you on any drugs?

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with it for this long... I take Neurontin, and that seems to help a lot without causing too many side-effects.
