surgery in the morning
« on: February 06, 2007, 02:58:02 pm »
Well, six weeks ago I was told I have brain tumors and in the morning I will be minus one of them... You know the old saying " time flies when you're having fun"... well, I don't know how much "fun" it has been but it has gone by quickly.

Thanks to all of you who have responded to my questions, fears, etc. You have made coping with this much easier.

SPECIAL thanks to Michelle for your compassion.. We have talked about
"God-sends" and you are mine... We will talk soon...

          PRAY FOR ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Tim

PS.. do I get a medal or anything for becoming a "postie" ????... ;D
Surgery Feb.7th at Moffitt,Tampa. Removed right side AN 3.3 CM plus Chiari Malformation decompression.Second surgery Feb.23rd Ventricle Periphirial Shunt to correct CSF leak.. NO HEARING LOSS.. NO HEADACHES... GOD IS GOOD !!!

Good luck tomorrow, hope all goes well, and I'll be thinking about you. As someone that is just 7 days out of surgery, the only advice I can give is to be careful when the food staff brings what they call Creamed Turkey and dressing.

Tim,

Not only as a fellow AN'er, but also as your Chiari-sista-in-crime, you know I will be anxious to hear of all outcomes.  I send you wishes, I send you thoughts, I send you my best of the best of what I can for a terrific outcome and a very speedy recovery.  Please have someone update us on your outcomes/progress as we will be here, cheering you on.

Hang in there...... you are going to do fine.
