Positive development!
« on: February 23, 2007, 09:58:33 am »
Since the Presidents Day weekend, i've started to feel significant improvement in my dry eye. The irritation seems to have appeared largely and is now only there at the end of the day or when i'm tired. I am SO happy and grateful. Just wanted to share it - i think we can all use a good story from time to time. Keep your hopes up!

YEEAAAHHHH  Maarten:

That certainly gives me hope.  I know, I'm tired of the dryness & burning.
Wish the 'crocodile tears' were more frequent, but boy am I glad when I get them.

Take care & best wishes for continued healing,    Nancy

Hey Nancy,

Have you had your tear ducts plugged?  It really helped me.  With that and the goggles at night, I no longer need the drops.  Infact, my eyes are tearing probably too much, but I'm affraid to have the plugs removed becuse the dry eyes were very painful!  I'm constantly wiping my eye dry.  I've started getting the croc tears too. Take care,  Carol

Hey Carol:  You know, my optomologist never told me about them,  I've read others on the forum have them,    I'll ask my eye surgeon about them when I see him at
the end of the month for follow-up (again) post gold weight removal.
I don't know why this was never discussed with me ???   I'm really tired of the lubricants;  recently I started using Celluvisc while at work, which causes less
blurriness, but ENOUGH ALREADY !!!   Sounds like the plugs are in order for me !!!!!
Thanks my friend,  Nancy
