looking for doctors
« on: October 16, 2007, 03:08:27 pm »
I've been newly diagnosed with a 2.3 cm. AN.  I live in Lenexa, Ks. which is a suburb of Kansas City, Mo.  Has anyone has either GK, CK or FRS in Kansas City.  What doctors did you use and were you happy with th results?  I still have some usable hearing and would like to preserve what I have.  I have been to 3 doctors and each has suggested a different approach-one suboccipital, one trans lab and one Gamma knife.  It's hard to sort through the choices.  Any help would be much appreciated.  Thanks

If you want to go as far as St Louis I would suggest Dr Keith Rich at Washington University School of Medicine    Here is a link to get more information   http://www.wuphysicians.wustl.edu/physician2.asp?PhysNum=835&deptID=17&divisionID=0

I had GK in 03 and March of 07.  I like and trust Dr. Rich and the GK team there was great.
I live in Springfield Illinois so St Louis was the closest treament for me.

Good luck with you research.
